Principality Consulting specialises in helping companies to improve their internal processes, so that the business is as efficient and profitable as possible. This means that we can use an outsider’s eye to question business practices that have “always been that way”, or to show how adopting some low cost strategies will be able to drastically reduce wasteful processes which will improve the profit margin. We often find that £10 can be saved for every £1 invested in our services. The £10 will then be saved every year, meaning that the savings can be huge over several years.
There are two main methods that Principality Consulting uses to help businesses become more efficient – Lean and Six Sigma.
Lean business improvement is a visual method for reducing wasteful practices within a business, increasing efficiency therefore increasing profit, and ensuring that the workforce are engaged with the improvement programme. Lean relies on data rather than guesswork to make the improvements using a number of tools such as 5S, single piece flow and visual factory – however the real power in the system is a change of mindset to ensure that everyone in the organisation is constantly searching for the way of working which will consistently bring a high quality product or service in the most efficient way.
Principality Consulting have experts in Lean business improvement who will be able to help your business become much more efficient and deliver consistently high quality products and services. Click here to understand a little more about Lean business improvement
Six Sigma is a statistical tool that drives to reduce the number of defects in your product or service. Imagine having 3.4 failures in a million – this is the reality for many companies, which is something that can be achieved using Six Sigma. Whilst this level of defect free performance isn’t necessary for every company, it shows how high performance can be achieved with this methodology.
Most companies will implement Lean business improvement before they embark on a Six Sigma implementation, as Lean sets the scene and will ensure that the “quick wins” can be put in place before the more complex Six Sigma is used to iron out the issues which hold the business back from becoming world class in the sector.
Principality Consulting are able to help with a Six Sigma implementation, with experts who have worked for many blue chip organisations and want to show smaller businesses how these systems can be used to drive high performance from their teams.
