Started in computing as a technician for a personal computer manufacturer, Les moved into supporting networks for SMEs. Dr Pritchard acted as a consultant to the North Wales Police Hi-Tech Crime Unit bringing his expertise to several high profile cases to become the first Special Constable directly assigned to a Hi-Tech Crime Unit in the UK.
As Network & System Security Manager responsible for the day-to-day running of the network, Les managed a £2m rebuild of the IT infrastructure including the deployment of SANs, blade servers, virtualisation, and migration to Microsoft servers.
Les has conducted IT systems and IT security audits for companies of all sizes. His analytical skills enable him to identify areas of improvement in the organisations he works with. Aiming to find the most practical and efficient solutions to potential issues, he has facilitated many companies to improve their IT systems and workflows leading to increased productivity and growth. He is an experienced programmer.
As an IT security consultant, Les has developed and delivered a series of workshops for the e-Crime Wales programme. He has also worked on the Software Alliance Wales project, organising workshops and training courses for over 400 participants.
